As first mentioned a few months ago, I bought some new equipment to help support the plants in the garden. Today I put a couple in place.
First up is the cucumber trellis. This wire panel is designed to provide vertical support for the cucumber plants. The panel is tipped at about a 45 degree angle which should provide a decent amount of sun to hit the leaves and provide some afternoon shade for the lettuce underneath.
Next up are the fancy tomato ladders. So far I have added two stacks of two to the garden. They look like they should work okay, but we’ll see once the plants start to get bigger.
