Friday night beat down

Yesterday (June 30th) afternoon we had a pretty severe storm rip through. We were not the only ones, as the storm left a trail of destruction through multiple states. Seeing as how we are over 24 hours in and still without power, this post will probably be later before full published to the blog. Aside from the power out with the temperatures in the 90s, I have little to complain about. The garden took a bit of a beating, but given a bit of time, I think the benefit of the rain will out weigh the costs of the wind. Below are a few pictures taken the evening after the storm blew through.

UPDATE:  After 50+ hours without electricity, the power is back on.  Here’s hoping it stays on for a bit.
