So, about this blog and a little about me.  I don’t really expect too many ‘strangers’ to read this blog, but if any stumble upon this blog and find it useful, all the better.  At this point, my vision for this blog is both a record keeping tool for me to log data and information regarding my garden and to allow my friends and family to see what I have been up to with the garden.

In the event anyone reading this doesn’t know me.  I am a software engineer by day but enjoy to get out and away from the desk and computer when not at work.  Having grown up on a farm, I find it enjoyable to get my hands in the soil and spend some time outside.  I also enjoy having plenty of extra vegetables to pass around to neighbors and friends.

  1. Cool garden Matt !! I may have to try to get something started in our yard. Nothing compares to fresh homegrown veggies !!

    • Hi Jim, glad you like it. It has been a fun hobby and you are right, fresh vegetables certainly are great during the summer. Too bad we’re no longer neighbors, I’d be sure and use your doorstep to dump the extras. 🙂

  2. Hi. I found you using “overcrowded tomatoes,” and I’m happy to have found you! This is a great blog. I like your photos, and hope that you continue to post frequently. 🙂 Gorgeous garden, too – I have a lot of inspiration! (I’m in Northern Virginia)
